The International Award at NIST

About the International Award

Picture
Not all learning happens in the classroom. Young people need experiences outside the classroom to become committed, responsible and fulfilled citizens of the world.

Since its launch over 60 years ago, the  Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award has inspired millions of young people to transform their lives.  It equips you for life through encouraging growth through engagement in physical recreation, skill development, community service and adventurous journeys. Doing the Award is a personal challenge and not a competition against others; it pushes you to your personal limits and recognizes your achievements.
